Dr. Shanique Worthey is a mom, wife, educator, and technologist! She loves anything that supports preparing students of all ages with innovative skills for our ever-changing world! Dr. Worthey has 17 years of educational experience with the DeKalb County School District. She currently supports the district's Region 6 schools, webmasters, and FUSE (Furthering Student Engagement) Cohorts with promoting awareness, encouraging expansion, and facilitating integration with our digital tools.   

 

As an educational leader, she has earned Teacher of the Year for both Wadsworth Elementary School in 2008, and Ronald McNair Discovery Learning Academy, in 2019! Dr. Worthey enjoys connecting with all stakeholders and building effective teams to integrate technology.  Her doctoral capstone product also investigated collaborative teams and their impact on technology integration in teaching and learning. She is also certified in Instructional Technology, Gifted, and Elementary Education (P-5) and an alumnus of Spelman College (B.A.), Grand Canyon University (M.Ed.), the University of West Georgia (Ed.S.), and Capella University (Ed.D.).
