ActivClassroom
Description: ActivClassroom is a collection of tools and resources that allow teachers to deliver interactive lessons. The components of the ActivClassroom include the Promethean ActivBoard, the ActivPen(s), the projector and the computer. ActivInspire is the software used to create flipcharts that allow teachers to deliver interactive lessons.
ActivExpressions are student response systems that create opportunities for student involvement and assessment. These devices can be used in conjunction with the ActivBoard to deliver dynamic lessons tailored to obtain immediate feedback of student performance.
BrainPop and BrainPop Jr.
Description: BrainPop is a web-based, educational program that provides curriculum-based content spanning subjects including Science, Math, English, Social Studies, Health, Technology, and Arts and Music. BrainPop features more than 750 animated movies. The movies are supplemented with resources including quizzes, activities, related games, timelines, and a selection of high-interest reading. DCSD teachers can use BrainPop as a resource to explain concepts in an audio/video style that students can relate to and that is aligned to state standards.
BrainPop Jr. is for grades K-3. BrainPop Jr. is also aligned to state standards. Each movie is supported by activities such as quizzes, games, activities, pop a joke, word wall, lesson ideas, draw about it, write about it, read about it, and talk about it.

Description: Office 365 is a communication system between administrators, teachers, students and parents. Email is the main tools used within Office 365. The Office 365 Outlook Email provides a tool for students (Grades K-12) to have a personal email address that will remain with them throughout their careers in the DeKalb School System.

Infinite Campus Grade Book

Description: The Infinite Campus web based grade book facilitates easy entry of student scores and analysis of student performance. Teachers may easily sort students, display graphs, and view color based student performance. Scores and grades are made available immediately to students, staff and parents via the Campus Portal.

Microsoft Office/Productivity Tools
Description: Microsoft Office consists of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
· Microsoft Word is an application designed primarily for word processing. In Microsoft Word, you may use many features such as clip art, track changes, mail merge, tables, and so much more.
· Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet application that enables you to turn data into information with powerful tools to analyze, communicate, and share results. You may analyze and manipulate data to create charts, tables, and/or graphs.
· Microsoft Access is a database program that is used to store and manipulate information in a series of interrelated records and files. Microsoft Access enables you to store all kinds of forms in the computer and organize them in a variety of ways for easy retrieval and custom reporting.
· Microsoft PowerPoint is presentation software that enables users to create, present, and collaborate on presentations quickly. Microsoft PowerPoint allows you to create simple and/or elaborate presentations that may include complex graphics, special effects, animations, and sounds.
· Microsoft Publisher is software that allows you to create a wide variety of print publications such as brochures, newsletters, and postcards, just to name a few.
