The old saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." When that child is a digital native, the challenge becomes greater. DeKalb County School District is committed to making sure students are safe while online and providing training to students on cybercitizenship.

NetSmartz is a curriculum provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). In addition to providing resources for students and teachers, it provides resources for parents. Click here to visit the NetSmartz Workshop.

CommonSense Media provides resources for parents and educators to help them know what is going in digital media as it relates to students. Parents may find ratings on Apps, movies, and more. In addition, educators will find currciulum for students in grades K-12 covering topics such as internet safety and security, digital citizenship and reserach/literacy.
